About ELLEDAM Beauty
We exist to transform the hair care experience of Black women from one rooted in sacrifice, guesswork, and risk into one defined by health, confidence, and personalization.
Guided by faith-driven values: Stewardship, Diligence, Generosity, Excellence, and Perseverance — we are committed to helping individuals embrace their God-given beauty while uplifting communities and creating a lasting legacy of care.
We operate at the intersection of beauty, wellness, and technology, positioning hair care as a biological and technical system rather than a superficial beauty category.

The ELLEDAM BEAUTY Story

My journey with my hair began in the chair like so many Black women.
As a child, I spent countless hours sitting still while my hair was braided.
I realized that by the time the average Black girl turns sixteen, she has spent over 792 hours, more than five weeks of her life in that chair. Time lost, normalized, and rarely questioned.
Years later, during my pregnancy, I was diagnosed with three uterine fibroids. The pain was real, the fear was real—but so was God’s grace. I was healed and carried through that experience. What stayed with me, though, was a deeper awareness. I began researching fibroids and discovered links between uterine fibroids, cancers, and chemical hair relaxers. At first, I thought relaxers were the problem.
I later learned the truth was much bigger…
The same harmful chemicals are found not only in relaxers, but in shampoos, hair washes, synthetic braiding hair, and wigs—products that sit directly on our scalps for hours, days, even weeks. Some are even treated with or contain lead.
In 2020, I launched ELLEDAM Beauty Supply to help Black women care for their natural hair. I was making products, focusing on sourcing organic oils while also creating custom, all-natural mixes for hair care. But there was an irony I couldn’t ignore: while I was teaching others, I hadn’t fully accepted my own hair. I overtreated it, chasing an image of beauty I had learned to believe. I also learned something that changed everything for me—it’s not just about using the right products, it’s about knowing how to use them. Because my hair fell off due to overtreatment, and eventually I shaved it.
That moment became a turning point.

Growing my hair back—short, kinky, unapologetic—mirrored a deeper transformation. Through the Word of God in Jeremiah 1:5, I understood that my beauty was not something to fix or conform, but something God had already perfected. My hair stopped being “just hair.” It became confirmation of divine craftsmanship.
I realized then that making products alone wasn’t the solution. The real problem is systemic: toxic ingredients, lack of education, inaccessible safe options, and a beauty culture that teaches Black women that pain, time loss, and health risks are the price of being acceptable.
I started ELLEDAM BEAUTY to break that cycle.
We exist for the woman who loves her natural hair but needs her time back.
For the woman who chose chemicals for ease and paid too high a price.
And for the little girl in the chair—watching, learning what beauty costs.
ELLEDAM BEAUTY stands for Authenticity, Confidence and Legacy.
